Line and Box Judging

First, thanks to everyone who will be helping with line and box judging! We couldn’t put on a tournament without you!

Line judges will be writing the times on the racing sheets. The heat lights will once again be provided by Sam Ford. Line Judges – help us out by keeping up with wins and losses if possible! Thanks!!

If you find that you will be unable to fill a seat during your assigned judging slot, please let the current table worker know so that we can find someone to take your place.

Racing

We have planned for a fun, relaxed tournament. Of course, promptness is always appreciated.

We will have 2 minute warm ups – both Saturday and Sunday for every teams’ first race.
After the 2 minute warm up period, we will go to 1 minute warm ups.
There are 2 warm up areas at the box end of each side of the racing lanes. These are for the teams in the on-deck position. They may use them as soon as the teams entering the racing lanes have left these areas. You may do box work or any other training in them but please be prompt when it is your team’s turn to enter the racing lanes.

  • Heats ending in a tie will result in each team receiving ½ of a tournament point.
  • If neither team wins the majority of heats, there will not be an extra heat ran, but both teams will split the 2 additional bonus points.
  • If neither team wins the majority of heats because of a double loss in one of the heats, there will not be an extra heat ran and neither team will receive bonus points.
